Miriam Swanson Andi (Nenga) is a Kichwa photographer from the Santu Urku Community in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Since childhood they have lived between Ecuador and Arizona. As they struggled navigating the strict rules of their world, they used photography as a way to detach themselves. Nenga’s work explores an intimate relationship between humans and nature, one that they see reflected within themselves and their community.
